TabData is the Tabernus Report Generator that allows detailed viewing/filtering etc. of the erasures of assets performed using Tabernus Enterprise Erase products.

Browser-based, TabData has numerous features and benefits that greatly enhances user experience of gathering reports, whilst adding to the functionality and flexibility of producing erasure reports and particularly the CESG Certificates that are the essential proof of a secure data removal.

Tabernus TabData allows detailed interrogation of the assets you have erased using Tabernus software. As mentioned above (Figure 5), click on View Assets to see the full list of erasures. From there you may drill down to view more specific information and/or data in various complied formats. Clicking on Full Report for example provides a detailed overview of the erased asset as shown below (Figure 8). Accept the default document viewer as shown below:

Using TabData Filters

TabData Filters are a powerful tool for obtaining reports on subsets of the available data based upon options chosen by the user. Split into a few option groups (Columns to Display, Time Range, and Systems/Disk), there is also a search option*, 'order by' and a results per page choice.

*With the search option, wildcards can be used, but instead of the asterisk (*), the percent symbol is used (%) with this system.

Having selected your filtering criteria, ensure you click on Save* to enable the filter to work correctly. A number of commonly required parameters are selected by default. Often a user will want to have a report of erasures performed between two dates, or a particular day etc. for which Time Range is ideal.

Using wildcards is straightforward and intuitive: if you type in %H1% with a selected Asset ID, all assets that have 'H1' in their ID will be displayed. For an exact match, use full keywords in the search box.

Exporting Report Data

Report data may be exported to various common formats:

Naturally a memory stick/pen drive may be used to save the reports to be viewed/entered onto a Windows PC to, say, enter into an Excel spreadsheet*.

* It is possible to access the reports from a remote PC; so your office PC could retrieve the reports from the LAN server (erasure machine) in the warehouse. Contact Tabernus for details.

Backup Report Data

Data is the lifeblood of many modern businesses, needed to run operations, record transactions and measure progress. When you pay for the secure erasure of a data bearing asset, you are essentially paying for the data that proves the data was securely, certifiably removed, and as such your reports are an essential track record of such tasks.
