Current Version - 7.3+

Client Fingerprinting can be set as part of the Configuration Profile editor. Open the configuration profiles editor from the File -> Configuration Profile menu item.

Edit or make a new configuration profile by duplication the default.

Click edit to open the editor, the profile editor dialog allows an operator to edit the Profile Name and set behaviours of the subsequently connected client computers. This includes default wipe level.

Fingerprinting Hard Drives

For ease of checking if a disk has been erased with the Tabernus Enterprise Erase LAN solution, it is possible to fingerprint the hard drives in two ways:

Bootable fingerprint:

The primary hard drive in the device will have a bootable image installed after the erasure, when the PC is rebooted it will display the erasure report

Text fingerprint:

All hard drives will be fingerprinted with the Fingerprint Text from this interface

The location of the raw ascii fingerprint can either be the first sector on the hard drive or the last sector on the hard drive

Deprecated - Version 5.3/7.1

To set up the fingerprint option, click on Places > Computer > Filesystem > Usr >Local > tftpboot > pxelinux.cfg > DEFAULT.

This opens the text file 'Default'.
