The EEMobile software will erase iphones that have a passcode lock. The device should be placed in recovery mode when the connection is made.
· Turn the device off
· Hold the home button and plug the device into the host
· The device should then show the connect to itunes screen
· The software will erase the device.
There is one caveat. If the phone is first of it’s model to be erased, it will fail the first time if the download takes too long. If the recovery mode times out, and the device reboots, before the download completes the erasure will fail.
To get around this issue – let the download complete and the device fails. Restart the software and reconnect the device in recovery mode. It should then complete.
