New Software Installation

 

Note: This procedure will erase all information from the hard drives. We recommended that any log files or any other data be backed up to an external storage device before proceeding.


  • Download installation ISO image from the Customer Portal
  • Burn the ISO with DVD writing software (for example Windows Disk Imaging)
  • Insert the DVD and change the boot sequence of the computer to boot the DVD.
  • Boot the computer
  • Once the desktop appears, double-click on the Install Enterprise Erase LAN to Hard Drive icon.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions:
    • Generic Installer screen. Click Next button.
    • Keyboard Layout screen. Select United Kingdom. Click Next button.
    • Hostname screen. Use default hostname: localhost.localdomain. Click Next button.
    • Set time zone by clicking on your location and uncheck “System clock uses UTC.” Click Next button.
    • Set Root Password (aka admin password) as “tabernus”. Confirm. Click Next button.
    • Weak password window pop-up. Click Yes.
    • Install screen. Select Remove all partitions on selected drives and create default layout
    • Write changes to disk
    • Process window 'Copying live image to hard drive.'
    • Doing post-installation and file system check…
  • Congratulations – Install complete.
  • A pop-up window will ask 'Do you wish to Reboot?'
  • Click OK. The DVD will eject and the system will automatically reboot.
